[Scenario] Operation Harvest Moon – The Esoterrorists

But there’s a full moon risin; Lets go dancin in the light; We know where the music’s playin; Lets go out and feel the night.
Neil Young, Harvest Moon from Harvest Moon, 1992

OPERATION HARVEST MOON is a THE ESOTERRORISTS adventure (published by Pelgrane Press) designed as a one-off ‘convention-ready’ scenario or as a way of introducing new players to the world of The Esoterrorists. It also works well as a cold opening to a much longer series of dark and dangerous missions.

With the discovery of a body in the lower reaches of Blackbear Mountain (one of the many peaks within Wyoming’s Bighorn National Forest), a Search & Rescue team is urgently summoned to determine whether others might be trapped by the early-season change in weather. But what starts as a civil response may quickly become a life-or-death experience, where the hunters become the hunted.

Hailing From Darkest Stars: A Coriolis Scenario

In Hailing from Darkest Stars the player characters are drawn into a mystery surrounding the disappearance of the Consortium scout ship Almuashir. Tasked by their Patron with discovering the fate of this ship, they will be informed that a single member of its crew has supposedly returned – unseen and unannounced – to Coriolis Station. Investigating this individual will lead the party across Coriolis, to places new and old, in a race to discover what they might know.

But the characters are not the only party wanting to find the lost ship and uncover its dark secrets. Within the Consortium powerful factions collide in what will become a deadly contest to secure an ancient artifact, the contents of which might spell doom for not only Coriolis Station but the entirety of the Third Horizon!

Hailing from the Darkest Stars looks to create its own distinct version of the Coriolis milieu, a darker, more threatening setting where the powers of the Dark Between the Stars are foremost in the setting, lurking just behind the otherwise normal trappings of polite society. In doing so, this scenario introduces a different type of Coriolis story, one that presents new challenges to the characters of this fantastic game setting.

Beware… as only great evil hails from darkest stars!

[Scenario] Operation Parcel Post – The Esoterrorists

“Just a quick and dirty pick up they said… a cake walk, huh?
Well, we’ll just see about that shall we…”

OPERATION PARCEL POST is a quickstart scenario written for Pelgrane Press’ The ESOTERRORISTS Roleplaying Game. Complete with three pre-generated characters, this adventure is designed to be run as either a one-night sample session or as a pick-up game at a convention.

In this scenario, the are Operatives assigned to investigate a strange crate that has been stopped passing through Customs in a large, international airport near where they operate. Arriving amidst an influx of holiday session travellers, the party will discover that the package in question contains an artifact infused with an Outer Dark Entity (ODE). Of course, what starts as a nice and simple ‘locate and grab’ mission soon escalates into a bizarre game of cat and mouse as the ODE uses its influence and power to escape the airport and the perhaps our heroes!

Iahru Four-7: A Coriolis Scenario

In something of a departure for me, I’ve released a scenario (as Pay What You Want) for Free League Publishing’s Coriolis RPG. This is the first thing I’ve every produced under a Community Content Program over at DriveThruRPG, and it was a relatively painless process.

This is what I stated in my facebook announcement a few days ago…

For almost 25 years I’ve released gaming material without asking a penny for it. Well I’ve finally turned my nonsense into something I’m actually selling (well, its a Pay What You Want offering anyway).

Its for Free League’s fantastic Coriolis RPG, and comes complete with 5 pregen characters and their ship, so all you need is a few friends and some dice to play!

Yes, I’m terrified by the thought of typos and errors in the grammar, but thanks to Emma and Luke hopefully these are minimal (and likely come from my constant tinkering at ungodly hours of the night… like right now!) So, if you’ve ever wanted to support my madness (ha ha ha), and can spare a few dollars, you can find this rubbish at: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/377919/Iahru-Four7.

I don’t know if I’ll release anything for more (although I do have a pretty good handle on a Vaesen scenario and there are other sci-fi adventures I have that could easily be rewritten for Coriolis), but given things going on right now, this is about all I can ask for!
