Conspiracy X is a roleplaying game calling out for interesting and creative adventures. In their operations, Aegis agents are called on to investigate madness, challenge unbelievably stronger foes and then cover up the truth from the very people they aim to protect.

Here is a current sampling of free scenarios that you could use in your Con X games (be it first or second edition).

Burnout & Further Down the Rabbit Hole (February 2024)

The scenarios in this collection BURN OUT & FURTHER DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE were written by Wayne O’Connor for ConFESS 2009 (an Irish RPG convention that seems to faded away).

These two scenarios have been condensed into a single document and published via the unboundbook.org website with the author’s permission. The new page layout and formatting was completed by Marcus D. Bone, but all other content and material remains untouched.

No Good Deed (July 2021)

NO GOOD DEED is an investigative scenario that that will throw an unsuspecting AEGIS Cell into a race against time. From a seemingly straightforward police shooting through to experiments with Saurian DNA, as the old saying goes ‘no good deed ever goes unpunished’.

Designed to introduce new players to the world of Conspiracy X. It should take no more than a few hours to complete, but this could be extended by both the players actions and the Chronicler’s desire to explore some of the key plot points further.

A long time in the making, I need to thank the following for being my guinea-pigs… I mean playtesters… of this scenario as it went through its various iterations Darryn Mercer, Mark Chiddicks, Julia Blackmore, Marcus Gustafson, Garth Allen, Dan Woodhouse, Angela Whiteman, Hamish Gaundan, and Roger Awhimate.

Blue on Blue (September 2017)

BLUE ON BLUE is a short adventure designed to bring together a brand new AEGIS Cell. It can be set in any urban location, with any number of players, and should probably only take one or two sessions of play to complete.

In this story, the agents are called in to investigate why another cell has suddenly gone quiet, and in the process ensure no breaches in the bodyguard of lies has occurred. As written, this scenario highlights only core events, actions and outcomes of the character’s investigations, with all the intervening details left to the Chronicler to determine.

Collection Schedule (April 2018)

A short introductory adventure designed to be run as a filler or demonstration scenario to be run at gaming conventions or when Chroniclers are looking to try out Conspiracy X second edition.

With a plot focused on character interaction and thinking outside the square, it should be completed by even the most inexperienced gamers in less than an hour or so. To assist new players and Chroniclers, 3 pre-generated characters are included, ensuring everyone can get to the table as quickly as possible.
