This Professor of Asian History at Milan University is a friend of Malcolm Quarrie and a fellow member of the Brothers of the Yellow Sign. Anzalone is leading the expedition to find Jiwakhar in Tibet which is in fact a front for the 'Pilgrimage of Grace'. Anzalone's graduate student, Carlo Schippone accompanied them.

• Anzalone was encountered within the cliffs of Drakmar where he emerged from the gate to Tsang as a shambling ruin of a man. Naked, with eyes and tongue removed, drooling blood, his nose and ears hideously deformed by the touch of Chaugnar Faughn, George Withers put him out of his misery.

• Quarrie revealed that the Tcho-Tcho had taken him to be the companion to their god in accordance with their beliefs and that he could not stop them from doing this.
