A Major in the crack Alpini regiment of specialised mountain troops, Delnegro accompanied Malcolm Quarrie, Roberto Anzalone and Carlo Schippone on the purported expedition to Tibet in 1929. It is believed that Delnegro went for no other reason than the Fascist government's desire to control all facets of Italian life and he is not thought to have any connection to The Brothers of the Yellow Sign.
Quarrie used magical means to fool Delnegro into believing Drakmar had always been their destination. While camped at the foot of the cliffs of Drakmar, Delnegro was murdered by Schippone, under the mental influence of Chaugnar Faughn, and buried beneath a cairn by Quarrie and Anzalone - hence the investigators never met the man.
