Universally known as 'Siva' this young man was recommended to the investigators by Mrs Tullis as a reliable guide to aid them during their stay in Bombay. In fact Siva was to prove willing, and able to accompany the party throughout their stay in his country and beyond. He acted as a translator throughout the trek across Nepal, and despite initially backing out of the final leg of the journey later turned up at Te where he was able to look after the badly injured Nepalese guide while the others went on to Drakmar.

Extremely eager to please, with excellent attention to detail and perfect English, Siva proves to be an unsurpassable guide, more than justifying his above-average rates.
