Despite the dangers the party faced, all but one of the Investigators survived to the last session of the campaign.

Andrew Saunders - Deceased

Andrew Saunders was 45 years old when he died. He was born in Inverness, Scotland. Andrew was assistant curator of the early medieval gallery at the British Museum, specialising in Anglo-Saxon and Viking Britain. He was also a keen amateur cryptozoologist.

Doctor Fredrick Bartlett - Deceased

Doctor Frederick Bartlett will be best remembered as an eminent research psychologist. He attained a first class degree in Moral Sciences in 1914 at the age of 28.

In the same year as his graduation and appointment as an Assistant in Experimental Psychology, war broke out and all of his seniors in Cambridge left for war service. Bartlett was ineligible for service due to a heart condition (he tried to enlist three times), and so he was appointed Temporary Director of the department. This resulted in the unheard of event in his almost immediately promotion from undergraduate student status to head of Psychology at Cambridge.

Two years ago he left Cambridge to work for the Tavistock Clinic in London.

Nathaniel Brown - Survivor

Nathaniel Browne is a man looking for inspiration. Nathaniel describes himself as an author, finding titles such as writer or novelist limiting to his creative focus. Over the course of the campaign Nathaniel discovers much about himself, his desires and the darkness beyond dreams, experiencing horrors that - while driving him creatively - ultimately leads to his destruction.

Captain George Withers - Survivor

Captain George Withers is a career soldier. An officer in the Second Battalion of the Coldstream Guards, he is currently stationed at Victoria barracks, Windsor, a quarter of a mile from the castle. He is a decorated veteran of the Great War, during which he met Doctor Frederick Bartlett.

Umberto - Missing & Presumed Dead

The man known as Umberto Calzione is an former Vatican investigator and current member of the outlawed Order of the Sword of St. Jerome. Having a personal obsession with the Brothers of the Yellow Sign he found himself on the same trail as the other investigators and eventually encountered them on the Viceroy of India.
