Aleister Crowley

Aleister Crowley is the most famous occultist in Britain. A sexual deviant, drug fiend, black magician and thrower of wild parties.

It was Crowley who submitted an obituary of Lawrence Bacon to 'Occult Magazine' before Bacon's death was common knowledge, and he met with Nathaniel Browne in Highgate Cemetery to discuss what they both knew about Bacon and his friends.

Crowley seemed more interested in Montague Edwards than Bacon, but because he attempted to use magical means to get information from Browne, the conversation ended with little information shared.

What was learned was that Crowley knew Bacon and Edwards through the Golden Dawn, and met Malcolm Quarrie through those men. As far as Crowley knows, Quarrie went to Italy to seek The Brothers of the Yellow Sign. Crowley seems to have no real interest in the Hastur Mythos.

Beyond his occult interests, Crowley is also an experienced mountaineer, with several expeditions to the Himalaya under his belt.
