Tatters of the King was dedicated to [[Talbot Estus]] and sold in numbers far exceeding the norm for the genre, garnering uniformly excellent reviews. There was great anticipation to see what 'this new, bright talent' would write next, although Browne would struggle with this expectation until [[Aftermath - Forever Wondering| events overtook him in later years]].
