====== Henrietta Tullis ====== The wife of the British cultural attache in Bombay, Mrs Tullis has been in England visiting her sick sister. A somewhat puritanical 'mother-hen' of a woman, Henrietta disapproves of many of the activities of young people in this modern age, but she has a warm sense of humour, a kind heart and a formidable will. She is also an excellent source of information about India. She is the prime organiser of Table 8’s “William and Arthur” recital on the final night of the voyage. After Julian Knight's rape of Patricia Berry, Mrs Tullis uses her influence to have Knight's diplomatic privileges revoked on an invented pretext, to ensure he can't escape justice.
